Privacy Policy

This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through the Thblet website at thblet.co.za. We collect very little: the site has no shop, no accounts and no tracking. The main thing we collect is what you choose to send us through the trade enquiry form.
We process personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
Who We Are
The responsible party for personal information collected through this site is Firebrand On Site Marketing (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2009/007165/07), of Office Suites, 2nd Floor Euro Centre, 363 Rivonia Boulevard, Edenburg, Sandton, Gauteng 2191. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to that company.
The Thblet range is manufactured and distributed by Exzol (Pty) Ltd, KwaZulu-Natal.

What We Collect
Through the trade enquiry form:
- your name;
- the name of your practice, pharmacy or company;
- your enquiry type (doctor or clinic, pharmacy, wholesaler, sales agent or other);
- your email address;
- your phone number (optional);
- your province;
- your message; and
- a record that you ticked the consent box.
All fields except phone number are required. If you do not provide them, we may not be able to respond to your enquiry.
Please do not include patient information, health information or other sensitive personal information in your message. We do not need it to answer a trade enquiry.
Technical information: like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs. These can include your IP address, browser type, the pages you requested and the date and time of your visit. These logs are used to run and secure the site. We do not use them to identify or profile visitors.
How We Collect It
We collect personal information directly from you when you complete and submit the enquiry form, or when you email us. Technical log information is collected automatically by our hosting provider when your browser connects to the site.
If you send us an email or reply to our follow-up, we will also hold the information in that correspondence.
Why We Use It
We use your personal information only for these purposes:
- to respond to your trade enquiry;
- to pass your enquiry to the right representative for your area or business type;
- to follow up with you about the Thblet range, stock availability and trade terms; and
- to keep the website running securely.
We will not use your information for an unrelated purpose unless we first tell you and, where POPIA requires it, get your consent.
Our Lawful Basis
Under section 11 of POPIA, we rely on:
- your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box when you submit the form;
- steps you have asked us to take before any trade agreement is concluded, such as sending you trade information; and
- our legitimate interests in responding to trade enquiries, developing trade relationships and keeping the site secure.
Transfers Outside South Africa
Our website hosting provider and our email provider may store or process personal information on servers outside South Africa.
Where this happens, we take the steps required by section 72 of POPIA. We only use providers that are subject to data protection laws, binding corporate rules or contractual terms that give your information a level of protection similar to POPIA. By submitting the enquiry form, you also consent to this transfer.
How Long We Keep It
We keep enquiry information only for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry and any trade relationship that follows. If no trade relationship follows, we delete it within 24 months of our last contact with you, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period in line with its own retention practices.
When we no longer need your information, we delete or destroy it, or de-identify it so that it can no longer be linked to you.
How We Protect It
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. These include:
- an encrypted (HTTPS) connection for the website and enquiry form;
- password-protected business email accounts, with access limited to people who need it; and
- using reputable hosting and email providers with their own security controls.
No system is completely secure. If we become aware of a security compromise affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the Information Regulator as required by section 22 of POPIA.
Your Rights
Under POPIA, you have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct information that is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete;
- delete information we no longer have a lawful reason to keep;
- object to our processing of your information on reasonable grounds, including processing based on our legitimate interests;
- withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew it); and
- complain to the Information Regulator.
To use any of these rights, email enquiries@thblet.co.za. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on a request. We will respond within a reasonable time and in line with POPIA and the Promotion of Access to Information Act 14 of 2000.
Direct Marketing
We will only send you marketing communications about the Thblet range if you have consented, or if you are an existing trade customer and the communication relates to similar products, as allowed by section 69 of POPIA.
Every marketing message will include a simple way to opt out. You can also opt out at any time by emailing enquiries@thblet.co.za. Opting out will not affect replies to enquiries you send us.
Children
This site is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Thblet products are not for sale to persons under the age of 21.
If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us at enquiries@thblet.co.za and we will delete it.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, please contact our information officer first so we can try to resolve it.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator:

Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we change how the site works or add new services. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed. Where a change significantly affects how we use your information, we will tell you where we reasonably can.
